There has been an increase in fraud cases where people pretend to be police officers, government agencies, or financial institutions, and trick people into buying gold or bullion.
Police and other government agencies will never ask you about your savings or bank balances or encourage you to purchase gold or bullion. Furthermore, there is no system in place to hand over gold or bullion to prove your innocence in the event of any suspicion. Please be wary of any suspicious requests.
