Product overview We have a Japanese-made S.YAIRI from the late 1970s, when S.YAIRI was still Yairi Musical Instrument Manufacturing Co., Ltd. in Nagoya! At that time, S.YAIRI manufactured Martin-style guitars, produced OEMs for Irish companies such as Roden and Morris, and also made high-quality guitars under the ``S.YAIRI'' brand, which supported the folk song boom. This YD-404 was the top model of the YD-400 series, which was born in the late 1970s as a successor to the YD-300 series, and had a list price of 80,000 yen at the time. The sides and back are made of Jacaranda, the top is made of solid spruce, the fingerboard and bridge are luxuriously made of ebony, and the herringbone trim, which was inspired by old Martin, is eye-catching. The rich sound and dynamic volume that you wouldn't expect from a plywood guitar are truly of high quality! This is a wonderful Japanese vintage item that stands shoulder to shoulder with guitars such as the YAMAHA Red Label.
