Product overview The RGX series is a rare Yamaha model, released for only two or three years starting around 1988. The second-grade RGZ-II is now in stock! While this guitar boasts the same beautiful archtop design as its higher-end counterparts, the lower-grade RGX-III actually featured a flattop. The RGX model aimed to be "intelligent gear with versatile potential" (according to the catalog) with its SSH-style studio-ready design to meet the needs of the diversifying music scene. The tremolo features a "Rockin' Magic Pro" mechanism, which allows for adjustable arm-up to suit the player's style. The original neck joint, which allows for easy playing in the high positions, offers impressive playability. True to its catchphrase "Next Generation Gear," this guitar truly captures the attention to detail that made it a Yamaha product in Japan back then.
