Product overview A 1998 Les Paul model from the SmartWood series, which existed around 2000, has arrived! It was born from a partnership between Gibson and SmartWood, an organization working to protect the remaining parts of the rainforests in South America. This instrument is a variant of the Les Paul Studio, and is characterized by a natural color paint that makes the most of the texture of the wood. This "Exotic" literally uses Exotic wood for the body top, and according to the catalog at the time, the woods used were not very familiar to guitar players, such as Curvey, Taperiva Guas, Cancharana, Peroba, Banara, and Ambey Guas.
