Product overview The heavy metal strat "HM Strat" was introduced by Fender in response to the global boom of hard rock/heavy metal that began in the late 1980s. We have one of the models that was revived in limited production in 2020! The original model was released in 1988, made in Japan and released under the model number "SHM75" of the Pro-Feel series. It was also sold in the US until 1992, and the model number "HM" stands for Heavy Metal, with a locking tremolo, HSS style, non-pickguard, 24 frets, heelless joint, and a finish for technical play. The 1980s "STRAT" silk logo, black head cap, F knob, and vivid colors are also symbols of the time. In conjunction with limited sale, it is manufactured in the same factory as the original model, and features a semi-medium scale (25.1 inches), a thin C-shaped neck, a 10-inch radius fingerboard with jumbo frets, and a highly playable specification of the time is reproduced as it is. In today's music, where technical playing is on the rise, this model, with its unusual Fender specifications, will be useful in a wide range of situations!
