Product overview The 1978 model, the AE-1200 from the AE series, is now in stock! It was released in 1979, a full-body model born in the midst of the high economic growth period, and was released at the same time as the higher-end AE-2000. The list price at the time was 120,000 yen, which was quite expensive considering the economic situation at the time. It continued to appear in the catalog even in the midst of the hard rock boom, and was succeeded by the AE-1200IIS and AE-1500 in the 1990s by the AEX series. This instrument was released in the first year, and features a solid arched spruce top, ebony fingerboard, and Yamaha's traditional bi-sound system. Since it was not a particularly popular model, there are only a few left, so please take this opportunity to get your hands on one!
