Product overview We've just received the 2009 Highway 1 Series Stratocaster, which was a huge hit at the time, boasting the promise of "Get a Fender USA for under ¥100,000!" (The original retail price was ¥98,000). While it was later replaced by the successor series, the American Special, the USA line in this class has now been discontinued, making it available only as a used guitar. While it was the cheapest USA-made model in the lineup at the time, the Highway 1 Series' greatest feature was its incredibly thin lacquer finish, giving it a unique character not found in other series.
