Product overview We've just received a 1999 Classic Series Stratocaster, a Mexican-made version of the American Vintage Series! This instrument was part of the Classic Series, a series that served as a sort of Mexican-made equivalent of the American Vintage Series. It was in the lineup for 20 years, until the successor, the Vintera Series, took over in 2019. While the series transitioned to an alder body around 2002, this is one of the few examples with a poplar body. While the Vintera Series took a more "modern-vintage" approach, this one aims to be a pure vintage reissue, a category not seen in current Mexican-made models. Detailed explanation	There are some slight scratches and dullness/rust on the metal parts, but there is little damage considering the model year and it looks relatively clean. The truss rod works well, and there is plenty of room for adjustment in both the forward and reverse warp correction directions. The neck has been adjusted with a rod and is now almost straight. The frets have been worn down, but they are still tall enough that they do not interfere with playing.
