Product overview Kawai Musical Instruments, the distributor of German parts manufacturer Schaller, developed the "Shaller/Rockoon" brand from the 1980s to the 1990s! At the time, it was popular for distributors to manufacture guitars bearing the names of their imported brands, such as Moridaira Musical Instrument's "Bill Lawrence" and ESP's "Seymour Duncan," for the domestic market. This guitar features a Les Paul-style single-cutaway body and a slanted front pickup. The medium scale provides easy playability and a rounded, soft sound. This is a guitar that captures the charm of a good old-fashioned Japanese bass!

The truss rod works well, and there is plenty of room for adjustment in both the forward and reverse warp correction directions. The neck has been adjusted with a rod, but when the bass string side is adjusted to be straight, the treble string side has a slight forward bow. It has a high rise (slightly raised from the joint). This is somewhat compensated for by the settings, but depending on your playing style, you may feel a slight buzzing. The frets show signs of general wear, but this does not interfere with playability.
