Product overview Manufactured in 2007. A top-of-the-line Yamaha electro-acoustic guitar that is active on stages all over the world. The Compass series 'CPX900', which pursues a rich natural sound, has arrived! In contrast to the slim APX series that prioritizes handling, it adopts a "deep body" closer to that of a traditional acoustic guitar. The top is made of solid spruce, and the sides and back are made of flame maple with a beautiful grain, boasting a very full and dynamic sound even as an acoustic instrument. It is equipped with Yamaha's uniquely developed 'ART 3-way pickup system (System57)'. Eliminating the stiffness characteristic of conventional piezo pickups, it directly picks up the vibration of the soundboard with a unique contact pickup, allowing for extremely natural line output of the guitar's original airiness and percussive sounds when the body is struck.
