Product overview Headway, a company based in Matsumoto City, Nagano Prefecture, continues to lead the way in Japanese acoustic guitar making. We have received the "HJ-5080SE," which features a strikingly cool round-shoulder body. This model from the JT (Japan Tune-Up) series is based on a model assembled in an Asian factory, but then thoroughly readjusted by Japanese craftsmen, down to the nut, saddle, and frets. The dovetail neck joint and post-set neck construction, which are used in high-end Japanese models, are also implemented in the JT series, resulting in incredible cost performance. The ease of playability that was previously only available on expensive high-end models is now available at an entry-level price range. This is a reliable standard model that clearly conveys the passion and sincerity of its makers! *The tuners have been replaced with GOTOH tuners.
