Product overview Made in 1981. This is a Japanese-made Epiphone Casino from the 1970s to the mid-1980s when it was produced by Matsumoku Kogyo. We have a "Beige Label" guitar in stock, following the early "Blue Label"! Although it was popular at the time as "Beetle Gear", as the production of the Casino moved from Terada Gakki to Korea to China, the Matsumoku Casino's high quality has been attracting more attention. This instrument is a Matsumoku Beige Label guitar made just before it became Terada Gakki. The Beige Label period is often compared to the Blue Label, but in reality, it only changed due to the reform of the trading company that handled Epiphone (the establishment of Gibson Japan), and the quality and sound are just as great as the Blue Label period. The truss rod works well, and there is plenty of room for adjustment in both the forward and reverse warp correction directions. The neck has been adjusted with a rod and is almost straight. The frets are slightly worn down, especially in the low positions of the 1st to 3rd strings, but there is still plenty of wear left and it does not interfere with playing.
