Detailed explanation	The Historic Collection from the GIBSON CUSTOM SHOP is at the pinnacle of Gibson and is the envy of many guitarists. The 1957 reissue Les Paul Custom has arrived. Historic Collections from this period were colored with aniline dye, similar to the backs of the original Les Pauls and the cherry color of the SG, resulting in a vivid cherry color. One of the great things about Gibson guitars is that they use aniline dyes, which are prone to fading, which creates a natural fade and allows you to enjoy the changes that occur over time. This particular guitar also has strong fading on the back of the neck, giving it a beautiful vintage look. The thick neck typical of a '57 model and the wide range of sound provided by the '57 classic pickups are simply superb. This is sure to be a coveted guitar for any Les Paul fan. There are scratches and dents throughout. The truss rod works well, and there is plenty of room for adjustment in both the forward and reverse warp correction directions. The neck has been adjusted with a rod and is now almost straight. There is a slight amount of wear on the frets, but there is still enough left that it doesn't interfere with playing.
