Product overview The FRB-150, the top-of-the-line model from FERNANDES' best-selling FR series, was featured in the 1986 catalog only. Its most distinctive feature is its graphite neck! Starting with Modulus in the late '70s, graphite necks were widely adopted by manufacturers like Steinberger and Alembic in the '80s. Their durability and resistance to weathering made them popular, and FERNANDES took notice, creating the top-of-the-line FRB-150 and its next-level model, the FRB-120. The FRB-150 was a key model featuring EMG pickups, and both models were prominently featured in the catalog, but they disappeared the following year, making them extremely rare. While FERNANDES' graphite neck model was also featured in the APB series in the 1990s, this was the last one from the '80s. This Japanese-made graphite model evokes a strong '80s vibe. This is a rare, one-year-only model, and a top-of-the-line model with a list price of ¥150,000, so it's rarely available.
