Product overview This 1992 replica model of the original 1951 Precision Bass, the instrument that first established the electric bass guitar in the world, has arrived. This guitar was produced shortly after the Custom Shop was founded. Based on the "Nocaster," the precursor to the Telecaster, which was released around the same time, the original Precision Bass featured a bass-fretted neck and was born as a more accurate alternative to the upright bass. Further refinements were made in 1957, resulting in the Precision Bass that is still widely known today. This instrument reproduces the original specifications, featuring a no-contour ash body, maple neck, 7.25-radius fingerboard, and a single pickup with flat pole pieces. Although the bridge is not made of fiberglass, you can still fully enjoy the rich, full-bodied sound of the original P-bass. Experience the footsteps of this pioneer of the electric bass, which has spawned countless styles.
