Product overview Divider's guitar project, the "JRP (Japan Red Pine) Guitar," breathes new life into red pine bodies that have been destroyed by pine beetles! The "SURF BREAKER," inspired by the "SURF" model, featuring a Jazzmaster-style offset body, is now in stock! Nagano Prefecture, home to many guitar workshops, including Divider, is particularly susceptible to pine beetle damage, sometimes falling onto roads and requiring time and money to cut down and dry. Compared to maple's specific gravity of 0.72, red pine is lighter and softer than maple at 0.53, making it unsuitable for guitars. However, after much effort, Divider has successfully restored it to use as an electric guitar body. By utilizing the insect holes and applying an unconventional finish, the guitar delivers a powerful impact. The pickups are Mojotone Gold Foil + Classic Tele pickups, which simply bring out the buoyant sound of red pine. This guitar is packed with Divider's thoughts on the issue of pine beetles, the significance and challenges of using Japanese wood, and the diversity of guitars, and the idea that there should be more guitars.
