Product overview MOON, a long-established manufacturer of Japanese component guitars, has just arrived with their signature MOON bass, the JJ-4, believed to have been produced in the 1990s. It features a walnut body, maple neck, and rosewood fingerboard, with a no-pickguard and natural finish for a simple, understated look. It features Bartolini pickups and a Bartolini TBT preamp. The heavy walnut sound is expressed directly in the richness of the low and low-mid frequencies, and the TBT preamp enhances and brings them forward. The 2EQ works extremely well, and adding highs adds a sparkling element to the walnut body, creating an aggressive bass sound. Overall, this is a well-built instrument that's comfortable to play. I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a reliable bass.
