Product overview The Yamaha "SuperBass" or "SB" series, which was introduced in the 1970s and early 1980s and is renowned as a Japanese vintage guitar, is a staple of the Yamaha lineup. This is the "SB-500S," which joined the lineup in 1980. It features a heavy Nato wood construction, a one-piece maple neck for a pronounced attack, and a bolt-on construction for a tight sound. The body design, which extends widely to the left, evokes the originality of good old Yamaha. The catchphrase from that time was "It feels more like fighting than playing." This bass delivers a powerful, deep bass that will have you battling for the first time.
