Product overview Freedom Custom Guitar Research is a high-end Japanese brand based in Tokyo. We have just received a 5-string from the Retrospective series, which has a classic style! This time, we have a 5-string model in the orthodox JB style with an alder body, maple neck, and rosewood fingerboard. The wood is aged for about six months to a year in a special warehouse to ensure it is stable. Because it is made in Tokyo, where the humidity and temperature are harsh for instruments, it is a guitar that can withstand the environment and place where the player uses it. It uses Freedom's familiar stainless steel frets and the SPEEDY, which has excellent sound attack and response. The pickup has been replaced with a J pickup "JMVC5 FE/M2" equipped with a hum-free split coil from DELANO of Germany, further bringing out the good response of the instrument. The paint is of course all lacquer. This is a top-of-the-line bass that shows the skill of skilled craftsmen.
