Product overview A limited edition model celebrating the 20th anniversary of the legendary RG550, a 2007 model that laid the foundation for the introduction of the JEM and PGM models, has arrived! Manufactured by Fujigen, as it was originally, only 1,987 units were produced, in honor of the year of release. The "XX" in the model name stands for "two tens" in Roman numerals, signifying the 20th anniversary model. However, Ibanez goes beyond simply faithfully recreating the original specifications. Two titanium rods are embedded in the neck, and the locking nut installation method, which was a common cause of neck cracking, has been revised, resulting in a guitar that exudes the Ibanez spirit of pioneering the times. In addition to the back panel engraving indicating this commemorative model, it also comes with a special bright red hard case, strap, and picks, matching the body color.
