Product overview The 1988 Ibanez AM series is a popular choice for its compact body size among the semi-hollow guitar lineup! The AM200, launched in 1988 as the successor to the mid-'80s AM205, is now available in its first year of production! Its full-size sister model, the AS200, has been used by jazz FUSION masters and is a well-known Ibanez semi-acoustic guitar. This AM200 is a miniature version of the AS200, similar to the Gibson ES-339, but its all-mahogany body delivers the same sweet sound as the full-size model. The initial production run of this model (from 1988 to 1991) was not manufactured by Fujigen but by Terada Musical Instruments, a factory with a reputation for producing boxed instruments, and also producing Japanese-made Epiphone, Gretsch, D'Angelico, and Sadowsky Archtop guitars. Its high playability and rich sound are sure to satisfy even the most discerning guitarist!
