Product overview Compared to the '50s and '60s models, the '72 Stratocaster manufactured by Fender Japan is extremely rare! While the '50s and '60s models were available in a variety of variations, the '70s models from Fender Japan were available only in the '71 replica "ST72-85TX" and the '72 replica "ST72-58US." While the rock-inspired looks and sound of the large headstock and bullet truss rod made this guitar beloved by rock heroes of the past, it was surprisingly rare to see it in circulation. The truss rod works well, and there is plenty of room for adjustment in both the forward and reverse warp correction directions. The neck curvature has been adjusted with a rod. There is a slight amount of wear on the frets, but there is still enough left that it does not interfere with playing.
