Product overview G&L, the final guitar brand of Fender founder Leo Fender, is now available in 2022. The CLF research L-1000 bass model, a recreation of the original model, is now in stock. This instrument is the 5-string "Series 750." 750 refers to 3/4-inch string spacing in SAE standards, which corresponds to approximately 19mm in metric standards. It features an Andromeda-finish basswood body, maple neck, and one pickup. Controls include Vol/Treble/Bass with a Series/Split/Parallel toggle switch. The truss rod works well, and there is plenty of room for adjustment in both the forward and reverse warp correction directions. The neck warp has been adjusted with the rod. There are some small wavy and twisted parts, but they have been adjusted so that they do not affect playability. The settings have been adjusted to some extent, but depending on your playing style, you may feel some buzzing. There is a slight reduction in the frets, but there is still enough left and it does not interfere with playability.
