Product overview We now have a 1982 Precision Special, which debuted as Fender's top-of-the-line electric bass for a brief period in the early '80s! The Precision Special was the bass model that debuted alongside the "The Strat," a top-of-the-line guitar. Like the Strat, it was also available with a walnut body, which had a higher list price. However, it was still a premium model, priced at $300 more than the '57 and '62 P-basses at the time. Despite being a P-bass, it features an active circuit, a two-band EQ, and a passive/active switch. Like the Strat, the body was made of extremely heavy ash during this period, and this instrument weighs approximately 4.6 kg despite being a four-string bass. While many Precision Specials weigh over 5 kg, this one is relatively light and easy to handle. The brass bridge contributes to its vibrant bass sound. The parts are in relatively good condition, making it a beautiful and collectible instrument that will satisfy any collector's desire.

The truss rod works well, and there is plenty of room for adjustment in both the forward and reverse warp correction directions. The neck has been adjusted with a rod. It is slightly raised (slightly raised from the joint). The high-position frets have been filed down to reduce buzzing. The frets show slight wear overall, but the high positions are particularly low.
