Product overview The affordable X Series from Martin, a guitar brand with a long history and tradition. While the top uses the classic spruce, the sides and back are made of high-pressure laminate, a compressed plywood material. This new material contributes to environmental protection by repurposing parts of the wood that would normally be discarded. This particular instrument, the DX1, is a standard dreadnought size model. The bright, crisp sound characteristic of HPL is perfect for strumming and singing! In recent years, production of Martin's affordable lineup has moved to Mexico, but this instrument is one of the first to be made in the USA!
