The top is made of solid Engelmann spruce, and the fingerboard and bridge are made of ebony, a rare material. The rosette is decorated with abalone shell, setting it apart from the lower-end "FG Series" in both sound and appearance! This is a recommended guitar for beginners who want to step up from an entry-level model, as well as for those who want to start their guitar life with a slightly more premium instrument! Although there are some slight scratches, there is almost no noticeable damage and it looks relatively clean. The truss rod works well, and there is plenty of room for adjustment in both the forward and reverse warp correction directions. The neck has been adjusted with a rod and is now almost straight.
