Detailed explanation |
Since its founding in 1985, Paul Reed Smith has established itself as the third largest guitar manufacturer after Gibson and Fender. We have received a Custom 24, which was produced shortly after the company was founded. Features include the small logo, wing lock pegs, 1VOL rotary PU selector and sweet switch, and Standard B/T pickups, all of which are symbolic of early PRS. The body top is made of a rare maple material known at the time as "hard rock maple," and the fingerboard is made of Brazilian rosewood, which was standard equipment until 1991. The feel of playing is no different to a modern PRS, but the sound feels more modern vintage than current models, proving that this is a superb guitar. Furthermore, while PRS guitars often become faded or cloudy, this one is in very good Condition. Paul says that "the latest model is always the best yet," but this guitar also gives a sense of its history, showing how well-made it was from the early days and how it has revolutionized the guitar world. Although there are some slight scratches, there is little damage considering the model year and it looks relatively clean. The truss rod has room in both directions. The neck is almost straight, but if judged strictly, there are some small wavy or twisted parts. There is no problem with playing. The frets appear to have been worn down. There is still plenty of fret height, so there is no problem with playing. [Weight] Approx. 3.7kg |
