Product overview The EMPEROR, a 1987 model, is one of Epiphone's longest-running full-acoustic guitars, first introduced in 1935. This Japanese-made guitar, manufactured during the transitional period in the late '80s when production shifted from Matsumoku to Terada, is one of the early Terada models. It features a full-size body, block inlays, and a "Tree of Life" inlay on the headstock, signaling its high-end status. The Epiphone logo from that era further enhances its premium feel. In the '90s, the model name was changed to EMPEROR-J. Like the Matsumoku era, Japanese-made Epiphone box guitars are highly acclaimed. This guitar, no exception, offers a superb resonance and jazzy tone, honed over 30 years since its production.

Detailed explanation	There are some slight scratches and dullness/rust on the metal parts, but there is little damage considering the model year and it looks relatively clean. The truss rod works well, and there is plenty of room for adjustment in both the forward and reverse warp correction directions. The neck has been adjusted with a rod and is now almost straight. The frets have shown some wear from pressing the strings, especially in the low positions of the 1st to 3rd strings, but there is still plenty of wear left and it does not interfere with playing.
