While the '50s and '60s models were available in a variety of variations, the '70s Fender Japan lineup only included the '71 replica "ST71-85TX" and the '72 replica "ST72-58US." While the rock-inspired looks and sound of the large headstock and bullet truss rod made this guitar beloved by rock heroes of the past, it was surprisingly rare in circulation.
