Product overview A 1989 PRS (Paul Reed Smith) Classic Electric 24, featuring a bolt-on neck, has arrived! This is a very early model from 1989, part of the series which started in 1988. While the CE series now features mahogany bodies, this instrument is from the highly sought-after alder body era. The intention to "not just be a cheap version, but to aim for a crisp sound" is clearly evident, resulting in a sharper mid-to-high range and faster attack than set-neck models, providing a sound that cuts through a wide range of genres, from funk and FUSION to hard rock. Details that differ from current models, such as the early "lowercase logo" headstock decal, wing tuners, serial number on the back of the headstock, and high-quality rosewood fingerboard, can be seen throughout, making this a very valuable historical piece.
