Product overview Steve Lukather, guitarist for TOTO and a leading figure in numerous musical productions, has had his signature model, the LUKE II, created by MUSIC MAN to support his legendary performances. The LUKE series began with the initial model released in 1993, and has now reached the LUKE 4. This particular instrument is the LUKE II, which appeared around 1998. It differs significantly from the original model; the original featured a locking tremolo and EMG SA/SA/85 pickups, while the LUKE II uses a MUSIC MAN floating vintage tremolo, and the front and center pickups have been changed to SLV. In addition, the original had only one volume control, while the LUKE II has one volume and one tone control. To ensure tuning stability, Schaller locking tuners have been adopted, and this model embodies Lukather's meticulous attention to detail. Of course, the playability is top-notch.
