Mockingbird Base from around 1990, for which Teihatsu was the agent! The MB-1007 reigned as the top-of-the-line lineup of basses at the time, excluding those made in the US, and this model was the only one to use the 5-piece body inherited from the original. However, it was a bolt-on specification, its sister model ``MB-9987'' was a set-through specification, and ``MB-987'' was a neck-through specification. The reason why it was bolt-on is because of the strengthened neck called "Supper-2100" that is used for the neck. The catalog introduces that ``The new fingerboard material Evonik has been teamed up with to create a super neck made from compressed 100-ply wood,'' and its rigidity is said to be ``able to withstand the harsh environments of touring.'' From the description, it can be seen that it was a BRICH signboard and a model with a lot of spirit.
