G Serial MADE IN JAPAN A rare model from the early 90's, "ST-650SPL" is now in stock! A special model equipped with a 2-point support tremolo and pegs similar to the American Standard series. The serial number near the neck joint indicates 1987-88, but this model was actually listed in the catalog from 1991-1992. At the time, Fender USA parts were produced in Japan, and it is speculated that this model was created by using parts and leftover necks from that time. Equipped with modern specs such as a 22-fret wing and a truss rod that can be adjusted on the head side, this is a piece that can be called a ``Japan-made Amesta.'' This is a rare Strat model that has received high praise from overseas. The neck has had a history of paint correction, and the overall feel is smooth to the touch. There are noticeable scratches and dents throughout. The included case has some slight dirt. The truss rod works well, and there is plenty of room for adjustment in both the forward and reverse warp correction directions. The warp of the neck has been adjusted with a rod. Although there are some minor undulations and twists overall, we have adjusted them so that they do not cause any problems when playing. There is some slight wear on the frets, but there is plenty left and there is no problem with playing.
