The controls are a simple structure that uses a JJ pickup arrangement, faithfully inheriting the original ESP version, which is "close to the JB but aims for boldness." It outputs the solid sound that has underpinned the passionate yet lyrical foundations of SIAM SHADE's songs. There are scratches, dents, and signs of use throughout. The truss rod works well, and there is plenty of room for adjustment in both the forward and reverse warp correction directions. The neck has been adjusted with a rod and is now almost straight. There is a slight amount of wear on the frets, but there is still enough left that it doesn't interfere with playing.
