vintage 60's Danelectro 12-string model now in stock! The Hawk model was born in 1967, when Danelectro became an MCA brand. The body is made from poplar rather than the familiar Masonite, making it a completely solid body, which is extremely rare for Danelectro. The original Danelectro came to an end in the 1960s, as MCA closed the Danelectro factory in 1969. Enjoy the melancholy of the Danelectro that was loved by artists of the past. *Cracks in the head and body have been repaired. There are scratches, dents, signs of use, and cracks in the paint throughout the item. Since there is no truss rod, it is not possible to adjust the neck curvature. The string height can be adjusted by tilting the neck. The neck is slightly bowed, but does not interfere with playing. The frets are slightly worn, but there is still enough left that it does not interfere with playing.
