Product overview We have a 1977 Greco Red Special in stock! It has been modified quite drastically by the previous owner, so we are selling it at a low price. First of all, there are signs that the back of the body has been significantly cut, and the tremolo unit has been removed. There are many mysterious screws on the top of the body. The back plate and the plate under the tailpiece have been replaced with homemade ones. (The tailpiece itself is probably replaced as well.) The tortoiseshell pickguard has been painted black. The bridge has also been replaced, and the grooves on the 1st and 2nd string saddles have been re-cut. The body has been roughly over-lacquered with something like a can of spray paint, and there are scratches on the back of the body where sandpaper has been applied. It appears that many other small parts have also been replaced.
