Product overview We have a rare model, the ES-175CC, in stock, made in 1979, which was only produced for about two years, from 1978 to 1979! The key feature is the Charlie Christian Pickup. This pickup, named after the great jazz guitarist Charlie Christian, who was active in the late 1930s to early 1940s and pushed the guitar from an accompaniment to a solo instrument, is the same as the one that was installed in the Gibson ES-150 that he used. This instrument is a top-class guitar that is thick and glossy, but has an excellent sound rise, by combining the ES-175, which was born as a cheaper version of the L-5, with the Charlie Christian Pickup. The tone is clear and does not get lost in a big band, and the solo play on a single line shines, just like Charlie. This model is very valuable as a collection, but we perform thorough maintenance at our store and the playability is also excellent.
