Product overview The ZZ DELUXE is a unique model manufactured by Matsumoku Kogyo in the early 1980s! The EXP-like model "ZZ (Double Z)" was featured prominently in the 1983 catalog along with the "U" and "XX". Later, higher-end models such as the "ZZ CUSTOM" with 24 frets and an ACT1 locking bridge and the "ZZ CUSTOM-KV" with a Kahler tremolo were released, but by the end of the Matsumoku Kogyo era in the late 1980s, all of these models had already disappeared. Not only is it extremely rare, but it is also a valuable piece that gives us a glimpse into the history of that time and the capabilities of Matsumoku.

The truss rod works well, and there is plenty of room for adjustment in both the forward and reverse warp correction directions. Although it is close to being straight, if you judge it strictly, when the bass strings are adjusted to be straight, the treble strings are slightly bowed forward. There is no problem with playing. There is a slight wear on the frets, but there is still enough left that it does not interfere with playing.
