This 1986-1987 model (F serial number, made in Japan) is a 1975-style Jazz Bass model that joined the Fender Japan lineup in 1986! It features a bold body recess and preamp, remodeled in the Marcus Miller style. The Fender Japan Marcus model (JB77-195MM) first appeared in 1999, by which time Fujigen had already transitioned to Dyna Musical Instruments, making this a rare example of a Fujigen-made, Marcus-style instrument. This instrument, built in a time when wood was still plentiful, features a two-piece ash body. It delivers a crisp, 1975-style sound and is perfectly suited to slaps. While the neck pocket says JB75-75M, checking the production year and catalog indicates it's a JB75-80. The neck pickups are a Fender USA-made neck pickup and a Seymour Duncan SJB-2B bridge pickup.

There are scratches and dents overall, and some tarnish/rust on the metal parts, but the damage seems to be minimal considering the age of the car. The truss rod works well, and there is plenty of room for adjustment in both the forward and reverse warp correction directions. The neck has been adjusted with a rod. There is a slight waviness throughout the neck. This has been adjusted to ensure that it does not cause any problems when playing. The frets have been sanded down and are relatively flat, but this does not interfere with playing.
