Product overview We've just received a bass model from "Westone," a brand developed by Kanda Shokai and Matsumoku Kogyo in the 1970s and 1980s! While the brand name was primarily used for acoustic guitars in Japan, it also produced electric models for export. Naturally, it was manufactured by Matsumoku Kogyo, a factory particularly renowned for its Japanese vintage, and a brand well-known even among overseas fans. This instrument is the bass model of the "CONCORD" series, a Concord II likely dating from 1982-1983. Its unique P-style shape and "PEQ control" system for the tone section, with one side centered around a center click for tone and the other side for a pseudo-coil split, allow for interesting sound creation. Its rustic yet unique bass sound is a must-try for fans of Japanese vintage sound!

The truss rod works well, and there is plenty of room for adjustment in both the forward and reverse warp correction directions. The neck curvature has been adjusted with a rod. It is close to straight, but if judged strictly, it may be slightly raised (slightly raised from the joint). This does not affect playability.
