Product overview The "REVIVAL" series, one of Fernandes' most popular series, supported the company's early days as a true low-sounding guitar. Now, we have the RJB-42 64 MODEL, a JB model that was in the lineup from the late 1980s through the 1990s, marking the end of the line! With the low-sounding guitar's heyday over, Fernandes shifted direction in the mid-1980s, spurred by lawsuits and the hard rock boom. The company launched the long-selling "FR" as its flagship model in 1986, gradually reducing its offerings of classic models. Around the 1990s, musician models emerged, and the REVIVAL series finally retired. This REVIVAL was the last bastion of Fernandes vintage replicas. While the basswood body was adopted due to the shift to more wood for the mainstay line, the company's long-standing replica techniques remain undiminished. This instrument also features upgrades like Fender-style cross-wired pickups, CTS potentiometers, oil capacitors, and a Puretone jack.
