Product overview We now have the 1988 GRECO SAB-100 semi-acoustic bass guitar, which appeared at the height of the Hard Rock/Heavy Metal boom in the late '80s, seemingly going against the trend! At a time when a plethora of heavy guitars, including modified guitars and rock-style tremolos, were emerging, the SAB-100 quietly appeared at the back of the 1989 catalog. The following year, it was renamed the SAB-1000, and the year after that, the SAB-120, but it subsequently disappeared. This guitar is oriented toward rock 'n' roll in both looks and sound. The truss rod works well, and there is plenty of room for adjustment in both the forward and reverse warp correction directions. The neck warp has been adjusted with the rod, but there is some waviness overall. It has been covered to some extent by the settings, but depending on your playing style, you may feel some buzzing.
