Product overview We have a 1987 model in stock, the first year of the RG550, the flagship model of Ibanez's traditional hard rock/heavy metal line, the RG, from the 1980s to the 1990s! While not particularly expensive, the RG was a legendary model that dominated the metal guitar scene and left a lasting impression on guitar kids. During the era when countless classic hard rock and heavy metal albums were born, Ibanez was the first choice for many guitar aspirations. Featuring a comfortable body, a thin neck, 24 jumbo frets, an Edge tremolo, and HSH pickups, this guitar is unique in its design for technical playing, something that was rare at the time.
