Product overview We have received a super rare 1983 model, the 'ETL83-98', which is now almost impossible to find! This model was produced by Fender Japan as part of the 'Elite Telecaster', an ambitious series of models announced by Fender in 1983. Its most notable feature was the original active preamp system, which incorporated the latest technology of the time, such as a fat midrange with TBX/MDX tone control and noiseless pickups. This instrument, while made in Japan, incorporates all of these features and is a special model equipped with CTS pots from the beginning.
