Product overview In 1961, the Les Paul model transformed from the previous single cutaway to a completely new shape: a thinner, lighter, double cutaway. This model symbolizes the turbulent transitional period, when the "Les Paul" name continued to be used, but eventually became independent as the "SG." This model recreates the custom specs that reigned as the top model of the era. It features the iconic Les Paul Diamond inlay on the headstock and a luxurious three-pickup configuration.
