Product overview We have received a 1997-2000 ST57-70TX in a special, non-catalog color, "Lake Placid Blue," ordered by Yamano Music at the time! This was the flagship model featured on the top page of the Fender Japan catalog at the time, and is a top-of-the-line replica of the '57 style. As befits a top-of-the-line model, it uses alder wood instead of basswood, and features USA Texas Special pickups! The Texas Special pickups further enhance the sparkling sound of the '57 Stratocaster, allowing you to enjoy a superb sound that will make you exclaim, "This is a Stratocaster!"
