Product overview We have a 1979 Chet Atkins model "7670 Country Gentleman" in stock! Originally released under the model number 6122, the Country Gentleman was renamed "7670" in the early '70s and underwent numerous minor changes throughout the '70s alone. Specifically, the headstock, back pad, and mute were eliminated in favor of an Adjustomatic bridge. The following year, 1972, the simulated F-holes were replaced with open F-holes. In 1975, the Bigsby unit's distinctive tubular arms were replaced. And in '79, even more radical changes were made, including the removal of the standby switch and a redesign of the mini switch. The scale length was changed from medium to long. This guitar is serial number 6-9*** and is in excellent condition considering its age! A must-have for any Gretsch fan!

Detailed explanation	There are some slight scratches and dullness/rust on the metal parts, but there is little damage considering the model year and it looks relatively clean. The truss rod works well, and there is plenty of room for adjustment in both the forward and reverse warp correction directions. The neck has been adjusted with a rod, but it is slightly raised (slightly raised from the joint). It is still fairly straight considering its age.
