Product overview We have received an electric bass guitar from Sonido, a guitar craft studio run by experienced luthier Sumio Yamamoto, whose studio is located in Midori-ku, Nagoya. Yamamoto is well-known mainly in the field of acoustic guitars, and he came up with the idea of a "hollow structure" in which the body is completely carved out and slits are carved into the inside of the body, inspired by the idea of a Japanese drum. Since he does not use heat or bending processes that put strain on the wood, he has been able to create very elaborate guitars that allow you to enjoy the natural sound of the wood and are also durable. Yamamoto's original guitar, the BAMBOO CASTER, is a unique model that, as its name suggests, uses bamboo for the body material. The neck is a 3P maple through-neck, and the body top and sides are made of bamboo, creating a Tele model that harmonizes the lightness of bamboo with the solidity of maple.
