Product overview We have just received an electric guitar from Sonido, a guitar craft workshop run by veteran luthier Sumio Yamamoto, based in Midori Ward, Nagoya. Yamamoto is primarily known for his acoustic guitars, carving the body completely from a single piece and devising a "hollowed-out" structure inspired by the Japanese drum, carving slits into the body. By avoiding processes like heat and bending that would strain the wood, Yamamoto has crafted highly intricate guitars that allow for the natural sound of the wood while also providing durability. Yamamoto's original guitar, the "BAMBOO CASTER," is a unique model, as its name suggests, featuring a bamboo body. The neck features a three-piece maple through-neck construction, and the body top and sides are made of bamboo, creating a Telecaster model that harmonizes the lightness of bamboo with the solidity of maple. (Note: Switch knobs may need to be replaced.)

The truss rod works well, and there is plenty of room for adjustment in both the forward and reverse warp correction directions. The neck warp has been adjusted with a rod. There are some wavy and twisted parts, but it is in a condition that does not affect playability. There is a slight reduction in the frets, but there is still enough left that it does not interfere with playability.
