Product overview Made in 1988 The American Vintage series reigned as Fender's top-of-the-line model from 1982 to 2018. We have a semi vintage item from the early days of the series, manufactured in the 1980s, in stock! The 57 replica is still popular today, with an overwhelming vintage reproduction in every aspect, including an alder body, maple neck, 3-position selector, front/center tone controls, and a 7.25-radius fingerboard. At the time when Fender Japan was first established, this was a product that was made in the USA with the determination that they could not lose to a Japanese product. The beautiful 57 sound, which is both crisp and sweet, has matured over the course of nearly 30 years, making it an even more exquisite instrument.

The truss rod works well, and there is plenty of room for adjustment in both the forward and reverse warp correction directions. The neck warp has been adjusted with a rod. There are some small wavy and twisted parts, but they do not affect the playability. The frets have been worn down. As a result, the frets are shorter overall.
