Product overview Made in 2022 Yamaha's semi-hollow model, "SAS", debuted in the 1989 catalog! Originally developed under the supervision of Cassiopeia guitarist Issei Noro, "SAS-I" and its entry-level class "SAS-II" are available in two ranks. Both models were in the lineup for about three years, then unified into "SAS-1500" and continue to be in the lineup today. This semi-hollow guitar has a more compact body size than the ES-335 and has the playability of a solid guitar. It is equipped with a hot pickup called LIVE GHIG, a FUSION-sound switch, and is a highly versatile semi-hollow model that can be used for everything from classic jazz to modern fusion sounds, blues, pop, and rock.
